As far as photographing conferences, this one was a bit different. Ranging from a water regeneration project, a visit to a gin distillery, conference in the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh, cocktails in Edinburgh Castle, to a ceilidh in The National Museum.
Blue Tech were holding their annual Forum in Edinburgh.
The Forum was an opportunity for delegates to meet with industry influencers, decision makers and those connected with the water industry.
The challenge for me as the photographer was to keep pace with what was going on over the three days. Starting by capturing delegates networking at 08.00 hrs, followed by the many speakers at the conference, finishing up at a ceilidh at 22.00 . It was action packed and finding time to eat was tricky!
I used two Canon cameras, an R6 and an R5 with 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses in order that I could take photos from different vantage points without having to change lenses. At some points flash was used, at others when the light permitted I could dispense with the flash.
It was a demanding job but with many great photos to give to the client, all worth while.
