The Global Commission on Drug Policy were holding their plenary meeting in The Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh. Commissioners present included Sir Nick Clegg, former UK Deputy Prime Minister, two ex presidents of Columbia, ex presidents of Switzerland, Nigeria, Mexico, Poland, Mauritius, former prime ministers of New Zealand, W. Australia and Haiti.
My brief was to organise a group photo of the commissioners and also take photographs of them during the meeting.
Fortunately the rain stayed off long enough for a group shot on the hotel roof top terrace with Edinburgh Castle in the background.
For the shots during the meeting I used a Canon R6 mirrorless camera which has a silent shutter. Due to low lighting in the room I used a speedlight which I could bounce the flash off the ceiling in order not to disturb the speakers.
